遥感技术的飞速发展正在革新生态学的观测手段。本研究组的研究方向为遥感生态学,注重遥感方法与数据的开发,从而在多生态系统层面回答传统手段无法或难以回答的生态学问题。研究组目前使用雷达、激光雷达、高分辨率光学遥感等,开发数据与算法,探讨我国及全球森林、水体、城镇等所面临的生态学及可持续发展问题,如植被健康状态监测, 树木构型分析,水体变化监测,城镇动态监测等。
