　　北京大学自然保护与社会发展研究中心执行主任护与社会发展研究中心”研究领域包括：自然保护与可持续发展决策信息和知识体系的建立、自然保护与可持续发展政策研究、成功保护范例在国内外的经验推广和示范、自然保护领导力的培养、为公众和教育系统提供环境教育信息和服务。中心吸引全球在自然、社会和管理等领域具有卓越洞见和丰富实践经验的专家和学者，为政府、企业和公民社会在生物多样性、气候变化、能源及可持续发展模式的决策提供基于科学和实践的建议与创新方案。
　　目前，中心的研究项目分布在内蒙、青海、西藏、四川、陕西、云南、广西、等地。现有的研究项目包括：生物多样性数据库与保护决策系统的建立、针对濒危物种的保护生物学研究、利用红外触发相机进行四川山区大型兽类监测项目、生物多样性快速评估项目、中国西部青藏高原地区人与野生动物冲突的研究、神山圣湖—文化多样性与生物多样性之间的关系等。
　　同时，我们希望进一步研究在青藏高原地区动物的行为对于气候变化的适应性变化，从生物多样性的角度了解全球变暖对于生态系统的影响。
